WoW Upgrades - The Item Upgrader
Upgrades give a guaranteed boost to certain stats. Each upgrade increases the level of an item by +3. A random substat is also boosted alongside each upgrade.
The upgraded gear typically has a more value in trade regardless of whether it has low requirements (like the FB sorc's shield) or very high stat variance (like the eth titan weapons). The latter see less value from upgrading due to the requirement to roll for a perfect version.
Recycle Points
The item upgrader allows players to upgrade their gear by transferring the currency to an NPC. Upgrades can be applied to any kind of weapon or armor. However, the item used to upgrade will remain in use for a long time and will not be able to be used again. Upgrades can be used to create the enchantments.
The upgrader is located in every major city, and can be visited anytime to upgrade your gear. It is recommended to visit the upgrader at least once every few weeks, to keep your equipment up-to-date.
browse around this website of upgrades will be based on the current item level of the equipment being upgraded however, they will always be less expensive than buying new equipment from other sources. For example, upgrading a Benthic chest to ilvl 385 will cost 20 recycle points, while purchasing the same item from a different player will cost 105.
Valorstones
Upgrades are items that can be used to improve the quality of weapons tools, armor, and other accessories. Players can purchase them through NPCs who sell upgrades to item owners for a variety of currencies. They are also available on random treasure lists. Once an upgrade is purchased, it can be applied to any weapon or tool using a button, which will display an item's preview at its next upgrade level in the event that the player has enough materials.
Upgrade costs differ based on the slot for the item and the current level of the item. For example, weapons will cost more than gloves, bracers or bracers. Each upgrade costs 15 Flightstones and a few crests, with some upgrades offering discounts to lower the cost of Flightstones or the crests used. Once an item has been upgraded to a certain amount, it can be downgraded and sold to the upgrader for a lower price.
Upgraders for items are available in a variety of locations on the main island, as well as a few outposts. The NPCs provide an upgrade discount as well as a chance to acquire a new upgrade recipe. The discount for upgrades increases with the number of items being upgraded. It can also be boosted by having players complete specific achievements or complete quests.
Unlike Cromwell in Baldur's Gate II is no upgrader for items available at the beginning of Icewind Dale. Instead the NPCs that are available to help with upgrades must be acquired through various methods that are both an improvement and a drawback.
In Season 3, the upgrade system was modified a bit, and numerous new features added. When a player has an upgrade to a specific level of an item for a specific armor slot, upgrading other items to that same item level will cost less even if they are part of another set of gear.
The discount is applicable to all accounts. The amount of Harbinger Crests needed for upgrades is reduced also, but is only available when certain milestones are reached.
Crests

When it comes to upgrading gear in WoW, players have a couple of choices. Flightstones are an option that is accessible to all players for upgrading. Crests are more special, and are used during specific item level upgrades. Crests are an essential part of the Dragonflight gear progression system introduced in 10.1, and come in four ranks.
The first thing to be aware of is that crests are only able to be used on equipment of a particular rank, and that every rank has different requirements for its upgrade path. The easiest and most straightforward upgrade costs 15 crests. The most complicated upgrade requires up to 20 crests, based on the kind of equipment being upgraded.
Players can earn crests through completing content of the appropriate level, whether that involves walking around and engaging in outdoor activities to get lower-tier gear, raids or dungeons with any difficulty for higher-tier items or Mythic+ dungeons or heroic raid bosses for endgame gear. These crests can be exchanged with an upgrader for the item, such as Cuzolth or Vaskarn in Valdrakken to upgrade the item in the proper steps and pathways.
The new currency system isn't too difficult to use, but it brings some changes to the process of upgrading. For instance, when an item is at the highest level of upgrading for any rank (Explorer, Adventurer, Veteran, Champion, Hero, or Mythic) it will no longer require Flightstones to be upgraded. This change is intended to allow players to upgrade their equipment up to the highest ilvl possible for all their characters instead of relying on seasonal loot.
It's also important to use crests in a wise manner, as they only have one use. For instance, it's a good idea to utilize all of your Whelpling rank crests with the best equipment you have and save Drake and Wyrm crests for the next round of upgrades you're planning to make. This is particularly true for items like rings and trinkets that take up multiple slots on the character, which will only be able to avail the account-wide discount when all of the slots are filled with high-quality equipment.
